i’m Ryan (or Jared, depending who you ask). i currently reside in Salt Lake City, Utah. I spent my high school years deeply involved in the SLC hardcore music scene of the 1990s. Over the years I’ve expanded my musical tastes to include just about everything (although lately I’ve been listening to the blues a lot). the only stuff I don’t care for is new country, techno and that pop-punk crap they play on the radio nowadays. Watch for mostly independent stuff in folk, alt-country, world, post-rock, metal, hardcore…and I might throw in some Indian classical.
i will try to update this blog at least every other weekday, but i’m lazy and get distracted, so sometimes i may not.
I upload everything to sendspace.com, and if no one downloads the file for a few weeks, the file gets deleted. This leads to dead links in this here blog. If you didn’t grab it the first time around, post a comment on the entry in question requesting that I reload it and I’ll get it working as soon as I can. I’ll post a comment to let you know it’s ready to be snagged.
